Marketing Tips from Brides

Las Vegas Wedding Network

Las Vegas Wedding NetworkLast week I had the pleasure of attending yet another fabulous meeting from the Las Vegas Wedding Network (of which I am a co-founder).  At one of our committee meetings it was suggested that we have a meeting with a panel of brides.  We did and it was a huge success.  The next day on Facebook, there was a ton of congrats regarding the meeting from my fellow wedding industry colleagues.   Yes, I agree it was one of the best so far.

The newly married brides were asked questions about the experience they had when they planned their wedding.  All of the brides were local Las Vegans and they provided an insight into the world of marketing from their eyes.  What surprised me most was that they knew each other.  It was said that they bump into each other a lot and developed a kindred friendship.  What they disliked most was when one vendor would bad mouth another one.

I have to say thank you sooo much to the brides who participated.

Are you a bride with a great marketing tip for us wedding professionals?  What would you like to see more of?  For instance, they didn’t like it when wedding websites would not post their prices.  Although they understood the reasoning behind it, they would have at least liked to have seen “starting at”.

Las Vegas Wedding Network

Tomorrow night a bunch of wedding professionals will meet up at Sienna Golf Club for a networking event.  I’m one of the co-founders so yes, I’ll be there.  It’s really grown in the last year and it’s great for the wedding industry in general.  We all get together and share ideas.  Our format always includes dinner, an education section, and a raffle prize and announcement section.  We have been very fortunate in the vendors and hosts who have provided their services.

I’ll let you know all about it on Thursday or Friday.

First Dance Options

Here’s a fun video my friend found and thought it would be cool for you to see.  It starts of kind of slow but sweet.  The DJ does a great job of transitioning from one song to another… That’s when the magic begins.

Halloween Weddings in Las Vegas

castlewithhalloweenmoonz

Ron DeCar of Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel comes from a showbiz background and it shows in the vast selection of Halloween Wedding Packages the chapel offers.

Even on his home page there is a countdown calendar till Halloween.  Today there are 12 days left till Halloween.

castlewithhalloweenmoonzThe real joy is going to his Halloween page.  Starting with a talking skeleton (that y0u can “shut up” if you click on his mouth) you’ll discover about 8 different choices with clever names like; “Goulish Gazebo”, “Rocky’s Horror Wedding”, “When Vampires Fly”, “Elvis & Demons in the Diner” and others.

When reading further into the descriptions and services, the work is even more creative.  Here’s an excerpt from “When Vampires Fly“:

Vampires swirl above our Gothic Cemetery setting as you declare your undying love! Our main chapel is transformed into a spooky graveyard, complete with tombstones, theatrical lighting, and plenty of fog.

Those 2 vampires are real Las Vegas Show performers!

Prices ranged from $275.oo to just under $1,000.00.  (Please check with the chapel for exact pricing.)

Then much to my delight they have a calendar which shows what dates are left and it’s packed!  I’d suggest you go to the site right away if you want a Halloween Wedding this year.  Heck go to the site anyway, it’s pretty fun.
